What This Part Is

Each ear measures 8 3/4" x 1" and is cut from the same genuine leather we use on new pairs, like our Plain Leather Button Suspenders. It's the small leather loop at the end of your suspender strap that buttons onto your waistband, over time, this is the piece that takes the most wear, since it's flexing and bearing weight every time you sit, stand, or move. How to Replace It

1. Slide your old, worn attachment ear off the end of the strap.
2. Feed the new leather ear onto the strap in its place.
3. If the fit feels tight, roll the end of the new ear tightly (like rolling a piece of paper) to slim it down, this makes it easier to feed through the strap holder.
4. Use a pair of needle-nose pliers to help pull the rolled end through if it's still snug.
5. If it's still too tight after rolling, you can trim a small amount off the width of the ear to reduce bulk, just take off a little at a time.
