Suspenders are sized by strap length, not waist size. Your height gets you close. A tape measure gets you exact.
- Size = strap length. Front attachment, over the shoulder, past the back patch, to the back attachment.
- Between sizes? Go up. Straps adjust shorter, never longer.
- Bigger build or long torso? Go one size up from your height.

Measure once, order right
Follow the diagram at the top of the page.

Put on the pants you'll wear them with.Waistband height changes the number.

Start at the front waistband.Hold a soft tape where the front strap will attach, about in line with the center of your chest.

Go up and over the shoulder.Run the tape straight up your chest and over the top of the shoulder. A second person helps here.

End at the back waistband.Bring it down your back to where the rear strap attaches.

Round up to the next size.Measured 45"? Order 48". Then adjust down to fit.
Where the adjusters will sit
If you measure right at a size line, your choice decides where the slide adjusters land. Example: you measure 41".
42" pair
Adjusters sit about 1" above your waistband. Low and out of sight.
48" pair
Adjusters sit about 7" above the waistband. Easier to reach and won't dig in when you sit.
X-back or Y-back? Check your back belt loops.
Length is the same either way. The back style should match how your pants attach.
X-back: 4 attachment points
Best if you have two rear belt loops on either side of center, common on jeans and canvas work pants. Stays put on broad shoulders.
Best for big & tallY-back: 3 attachment points
Best if your pants have a single center rear belt loop or button. A clean, classic look under a jacket.
